Level of the education and the assessment of identity to the macro-social services of the members of majority and minority communities

Abstract

Presented paper is elaborating upon the results of analysis of  differences in identity evaluation in regard to macro-social formations  by members of majority and minority communities. The aspects of level of accomplished education is considered. The research, realised in year  2000, was based on data gathered from 800 respondents (200 Ruthenians,  200 Ukrainians, 200 Slovaks from region inhabited also by  Ruthenians/Ukrainias and 200 Slovaks living in relatively homogenous  Slovak environment). Out of whole number of respondents, 383 were male  and 417 female of average age 44.3 years. The elaboration of empirical  data confirmed the existence of connection between the level of  education and  measure of identification with the macro-social  formations in general and also from point of view of ethnic adherence  respondents. The research complemented the results published in previous papers.
