Changes in land keeping in 1918 – 1919 in Czechoslovakia.
Úprava pozemkového vlastníctva v rokoch 1918 – 1919 v Československu
After the formation of The Czechoslovak republic there was one necessary question which must be solved. It was adjusting of land keeping, Czechs and Slovaks expected from the politicians of new state to increase their social life level. People called for the land for themselves and their family. One of the ways how to give more land to the small farmers was the land reform. The Land reform is set of many rules which change the land keeping. The land of big agrarian holders was delivered to the small farmers. The area of agricultural land which was bigger than 150 ha or land at all bigger than 250 ha was taken by state. State authority which controlled this action was State Land Office. The first kind of land which was taken and later given to the new owners was hire land.
